Obituary

Christine M. Bennett-Murray, age 60, was born May 7th, 1962, in Houston, Texas, to Leana Oliver Powell, and raised by Cora D. and Horace Bennett.

While growing up in Minden, LA, she received her education via Webster Parish Schools.  She is an Alumni of the Minden High School Class of 1981.

During her early adult years, living in Baton Rouge, she met and later married the love of her life of 37 years, Nolan Murray.

One of Christine's greatest accomplishments was being a mother to her two sons Kristopher and Jonathan.

After moving back to Minden, LA, she held numerous jobs.  A time later, she became a substitute Teacher for Webster Parish for a great amount of years.

She was also an active member of Mt. Calm Baptist Church, where she worked hard behind the scenes to ensure the word of God was spread in a positive way via the Mt Calm Media Ministry, amongst other attributes.

Christine was preceeded in death by her parents, Cora D. and Horace Bennett.  She leaves to cherish her memories; husband Nolan Murray; son Kristopher Murray along with daughter-in-law Demetrius Murray;

son Jonathan Murray along with daughter-in-law Neisa Murray and grandson's NaQore Glover and Jesiah Murray;

brother Eddie Powell; sister Faye Powell along with nephew LaDarrien Wallace, and niece Vanessa Spencer, a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
